But there is also a big problem with shutting down coal. These folks suffer from lack of employment even with coal mines running at full speed. If we shut down coal we would need to support the population of the region financially. there usually are not choices in what work one does in the region. I have visited 48 states.  Of them all, West Virginia and Kentucky, the Appalachia, in general are among the most blessed places in our nation.  And to think that of the sins of the greedy have literally caused a humanitarian crisis ………….
