Watch “The Assassination of Dr. Tiller”

Last night during the Rachel Maddow Show’s usual time slot, MSNBC aired The Assassination of Dr. Tiller, a documentary on the 2009 murder of the Wichita, Kansas, abortion provider. George Tiller specialized in second- and third-trimester abortions, making him one of only a small handful of providers in the country who would help women in the later months of pregnancy facing unbelievably difficult circumstances. His specialty also made him — as well as his colleagues and family members — a target for anti-choice groups such as Operation Rescue and wingnuts like Scott Roeder, who ultimately assassinated Dr. Tiller.

The one-hour documentary is narrated by Rachel Maddow and features interviews with individuals on both sides of the abortion debate. Watch part one here…
