Jon Stewart Eviscerates White House’s Treatment of Shirley Sherrod

On Monday’s Daily Show, Stewart introduced his own edited version of Sherrod’s now infamous speech.

After that, he took the two responsible parties to task — first, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, for his his mealy-mouthed regrets; then White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, for his passive agressive apology.

According to Stewart, the brouhaha never should have happened, period.
