On Wednesday’s Daily Show, Jon uncovered a pretty alarming trend: Every single president for the last 40 years has gone on television and vowed to lift America from its dependence on foreign oil. None have succeeded.

Will Obama be any different than Bush II, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford or Nixon? Doubtful. After all, our unstoppable, oil dependency-breaking machine runs on oil. Oops.
