Join AlterNet’s Discussion With ‘Diet for a Hot Planet’ Author Anna Lappe Tonight

Check back into AlterNet’s home page today at 8 pm EST/ 5 pm PST as Anna Lappe talks about her new book, Diet for a Hot Planet and how we can change our diet (and our food system) to fight the climate crisis. If you’re curious to know more about Lappe’s book, we’ve posted an interview with her today by Jill Richardson. Describing Lappe’s book, Richardson wrote that it, “Not only exposes how our current dominant methods of food production, processing, distribution and disposal significantly contribute to climate change; she also tells us how food production can actually mitigate climate change by sequestering carbon in the soil.”

Lappe details seven principles of a climate-friendly diet in her book. Join the discussion tonight, hosted by AlterNet contributor Kerry Trueman.
