COMMENT NOW! Murderer Scott Roeder Gets Life in Prison, Defends Killing
Scott Roeder, the man who gunned down Dr. George Tiller at the entrance of his Church last May, has been sentenced to life in prison. He’s eligible for parole in 50 years.
Before his sentence was handed down, Roeder defended the murder, saying that the fault lay with the state of Kansas for not stopping Dr. Tiller from performing his work. “Had the courts acted rightfully, I would have not shot George Tiller,” said Roeder according to CNN.
Dr. Tiller headed one of only three clinics in the country that provided women — many carrying fetuses suffering from deadly birth defects — with late-term abortions.
The clinic closed after his death.
