I want the average American like myself to understand how much we spent to bail out the banks who should have been allowed to fail.

Let me start with how many people are in the USA 309 million 842 thousand people so I rounded UP to 310 million of these 24.3 % are under 18 so I rounded UP which is 70 million under 18.

So that gives us 240,000,000 million adults. Now get ready for this.

We bailed the bank out at a cost of 200 Billion Dollars

I know you have already seen these number but you really need to look at this in perspective

1 billion dollars = 1000 million dollars

2 billion dollars = 2000 million dollars

200 billion dollars = 200,000 million dollars

We are people who made $40,000 – $65,000 a year for the past 10 years, we have mortgage payments and expenses accordingly. How can we take a job making 8.00 and hour? We worked years to be were we were. We did not cause this but the Republicans are not helping. They should have given all adult Americans the bail out money.

The Republicans state they are being Fiscally Responsible. Really? Was it fiscally responsible to give all that bail out money to the banks who are still sitting on this money and not helping the economy to recover? Is is Fiscally Responsible for Sen. Hatch to want us all drug tested? We do not care about being drug tested (my husband was drug tested all the time because he is a CDL driver) BUT did you know that Sen. Hatch’s son is a lobbyist for a pharmaceutical company? So who do you think would benefit from that bill.. The cost to drug test us is OK but giving us unemployment is not? Remember to receive unemployment you have to have worked

Even though the bill has finally passes NO unemployment money has gone out to us  in MA not even the weekly checks never mind the retroactive money. We are unable to get through to them on the phone and we are being told you will receive a letter in the mail. Note sending a letter to all of us will cost $35,000.

But Republicans continue to see the fight in terms of the budget. “Hard times require hard decisions,” Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) said on the floor. “What we are seeing is the easy way out.”  REALLY EASY WAY OUT FOR WHO?   EASY FOR THEM TO SAY WHEN THEY HAVE

“”MONEY TO LIVE ON.. EASY TO SAY WHEN THEY WALKED OUT AND SPENT A HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR DINNER IN THEIR FAVORITE RESTURANT EASY FOR THEM TO SAY WHEN THEY TAKE A FIRST CLASS PLANE RIDE HOME SO THEY CAN SEE THEIR FAMILY…

HOW DARE THEY WE NEED TO TAKE A STAND VOTE ALL REPUBLICANS OUT….VOTE     VOTE     VOTE  WE NEED TO BE HEARD

I am a 63 year old Great Grandmother who worked her whole life. I managed and marketed apartments and hotels. I am on a mission. I was never political. My opinion was whom ever was in did what they wanted so...it was just a matter of opinion Demarcate or Republican. I NOW KNOW HOW WRONG I HAVE BEEN. We the people need to stop the Republican Party by showing our displeasure for MAKING US GO WITHOUT FOOD, ELECTRICITY, ALLOWED PEOPLE TO BE EVICTED FROM THERE APARTMENTS....ON AND ON.. over the Unemployment Issue.
