The Republicans in the House of Representatives say the United States to stay in Afghanistan indefinitely. After all, you can’t tell an enemy you might leave.

…Congressman Buck McKeon, who will now take over the House Armed Services Committee from the Democrats, has also announced his party’s plan for Afghanistan and Iraq. He said that under the Republicans the committee’s top priority would be to continue the US military presence in Afghanistan. Mr McKeon pledged to work directly with Gen David Petraeus, the US commander in Afghanistan, to commit more equipment and resources to the war effort….(source: world.dawn.com)

You notice none of these House critters have signed up to go there. They also don’t have their family members fight in these wars.

They talk about deficits. But they are only too happy to give your money to the banks and to support an endless war machine.

You ever notice that they get awful upset if a poor family gets access to health care.

But with the Republicans back in power in the House, Obama will have an excuse to follow the Bush NeoCon policy of governance. Over the last 2 years, he has had no excuse.

Not only is George W. Bush an apparent psychopath. He is also an idiot.

The US put to death Japanese commanders after World War 2 for waterboarding American soldiers.

It was a war crime then, and it is a war crime now.

So now that Bush has admitted to personally ordering waterboarding, he should be arrested immediately and put on trial.

Or maybe he can be held indefinitely and given no representation and no trial.

As you may recall George W. liked to do things that way.

President Obama and the Democrats had an opportunity to make the changes they promised the American people.

Instead they pretended change but followed the same corporatist Republican agenda that has destroyed the American economy and has made the super wealthy even  super wealthier.

…Continuing the bailout of Wall Street that was begun under Bush, the Obama administration has carried the largest handout of public funds to the wealthy in American history. This was followed up by the enactment last summer of a financial system “reform” bill so toothless that it punishes no one for the greatest outbreak of swindling in history.

The White House assiduously protected oil giant BP from the repercussions of the greatest environmental disaster in US history and last week lifted its moratorium on deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

As for leaving ordinary families “to fend for themselves,” the Obama administration has imposed the burden of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression on working class families, rejecting any serious action as mass unemployment, mass poverty and mass foreclosures have become permanent features of American life….

…Unlike Roosevelt, Obama has offered nothing in the way of public works programs to restore employment, or significant checks on the most flagrant forms of Wall Street speculation. This is not merely a personal failing, or, to put more it precisely, Obama’s obvious indifference to the plight of millions of working people is not peculiar to him. Obama and the Democrats talked of ending the terror wars but they followed the exact same Bush NeoCon agenda on the wars. They continue to occupy Iraq and have fight secret wars in nearly 12 countries. They are currently in the process of expanding war in Pakistan and Yemen.

So much for hope and change.

But I personally am glad that the Democrats have lost the House and are struggling in the Senate.

I hope Obama loses the Presidency.

Why?

Well then the Democrats can at least pretend to be an opposition and not just act like Republicans while in power.

The truth is that both parties work for the same people.

Both parties will continue to give you economic globalization, outsourcing, low wages, real depression level unemployment and underemployment. Both parties will dismantle Social Security and probably medicare. Both parties will continue to enslave you to the banks. Both parties will continue to give you unlimited wars.

Both parties are a sham.

They are nothing more or less than the tools of corporate power.

So you will continue to get the same corporate agenda under Republicans and you can get mad about it in 2 or 4 years and then continue to get the same corporate agenda under the Democrats.

No matter what you will get the same agenda that has privatized wars and education and just about every other former public program. The country’s resources and services will be sold to the highest bidder and the aged will be left with dog food.

I warned you before Obama was elected and I am warning you now.

But it won’t matter.

The American people like the illusion no matter how much it hurts and even kills.

Famed NASA Astronaut says UFOs are real. But not only that, Dr. Story Musgrave says he has tried to communicate with them.

..During an earlier interview, Dr. Musgrave stated he attempted to communicate with ET life forms during each of his six missions. He actually asked them to take him with them. Now that’s an astronaut with a lot of courage. Dr. Musgrave retired after this flight from NASA. Since then he’s been spreading his considered opinion that alien life exists. When Musgrave speaks of this, it’s no great leap for one to assume he’s admitting knowledge of alien life. As the final slide of a “Grey” ET was shown during a recent astronomy presentation by Dr. Musgrave, he made this surprising comment: “These guys are real… I guarantee it!” Dr. Musgrave does know the truth. Dr. Musgrave says that he has seen a large disk shaped object below the Columbia shuttle when it was 190 nautical miles high.

He also says he has seen other strange things in space.

He can’t explain what he has seen.

His sightings are indeed fascinating. But it is also illuminating to find out that Dr. Musgrave thought that he might have been able to communicate with the UFO Aliens. It is not mentioned in the Canadian story on how he was trying to do that. However, Dr. Musgrave must have thought he could do so telepathically since there is no other way that he could tell the ETs to take him with them.

He must have heard reports coming from contactees and abductees that ETs do communicate telepathically.

There have even been reports that UFO craft also seem to communicate with people. Some people claim they can summon UFOs up just by thinking about them.

Obviously a lot of the inviting of UFOs talked about by many are the product of over active imaginations.

But the idea that a NASA Astronaut takes ET telepathic communication seriously adds credence to reports that ETs do communicate by using only their thoughts.
