BECK: “Domestic Terror Attack Imminent; Violent Left Wing Americans will be behind it”

Yesterday, Professor Glenn Beck informed his viewers, or should I say the scholars enrolled in his course “Obama- Will-Be-Rounding-You-Up-and-Jailing-You-Any-Day-Now -101” that a looming violent event is coming in America. Now, no prerequisites are required to enroll in Professor Beck’s class, as a matter of fact, the lower your level of education, the more likely you are to excel. Prof. Beck does not want anyone tainted with the brainwashing doled out by the liberal education system. No, the ideas of American Exceptionalism and Manifest Destiny were taught in one room school houses like those on the Little House on the Prairie, and our education system need not instill us with any more than that.

Isn’t that so, Professor Beck?

With charts and graphs and other implements of distraction, Prof Beck, proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt that the United States is facing a major event. He used the metaphor of a birth. And another birth pang is coming- violence from the left- that will bring us closer to the EVENT.

An Oklahoma City type of event. And the left wing radicals will orchestrate that it.

As evidence of this, he cited, among other things the idea that the mask is coming off of the left wing agenda. That they are revealing themselves. And that MSNBC’s new pretty boy (Beck’s words) recently admitted, while debating the liberal columnist Glenn Greenwald, that he is a socialist

“Glenn, unlike you, I am not a progressive. I am not a liberal who is so afraid of the word that I had to change my name to progressive. Liberals amuse me. I am a socialist. I live to the extreme left, the extreme left of you mere liberals, okay? However, I know this about my country. Liberals are 20 percent of the electorate. Conservatives are 41 percent of the electorate, okay?…You can sit there and pretend that liberals should run more liberal in conservative districts. You love the loss of the Blue Dogs. The only way, the only way you have a chairman Barney Frank, there’s only one way, that’s by electing Blue Dogs. It’s the only way. That’s the only way you have a Speaker Pelosi.”

To which Beck replied:

“But didn’t we just hear that there are no socialists?” Beck said. “Wait a minute — starting to unmask themselves!”"I don’t pal around with Communists,” he continued. “I don’t know any radical revolutionaries, I don’t know any socialists. But apparently at NBC…it’s not such a big deal.”

Radical revolutionaries? You are right Glenn. It is time to re-open the McCarthy hearings, isn’t it? Socialist is not a political party, like Republican or Democrat, Socialists are all, every single one of then, violent radicals who have a stock of Soviet issued weapons and we are just waiting for the go sign from our fearless socialist leader, Barack Obama before we take to the streets and round you all up.

Isn’t that the gist of it, Prof. Beck?

Or is it possible, that the only thing that the clips and charts and chalkboards prove, Professor Beck, is that the left wing can’t agree on anything. That is the problem with higher education, it creates critical thinkers who excel at debating nuances in policy or political strategy, but get a failing grade at party building and maintaining political power.

Now, for those regular viewers of my program, I know that some of you have been upset by me divisive tone of late. That I am not doing anything to bring about harmony. So, I’ll try to say this calmly. I don’t seek harmony with the Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and Tea Party crowd.

I seek progress.

There is a big difference.

Should we find middle ground with right wing bullies, obfuscators and fear mongers on the right?

Or should we all just get a mirror, take a long hard look, and then stop being intellectually lazy bags o douchery and actually stand for something?
