ALSO from Boston, a long-time activist in the movement sent these clipping from a 1988 News story, love how the pages are even colored with age.  Story reveals the way it all began, when Jeff Anderson, attorney in Minneapolis, filed a lawsuit in 1983, that finally settled in 1988, and the Public Defender Anderson got struck by lightning, realizing the crime coverups went all the way to the top.  He began the journey that this month went global, and is still not finished.

(”The Franciscans knew both Perpetrators had been sexually involved with adolescent boys, long before they hired Krumm and Wolfe and assigned them to work at St. Anthony’s. Despite this knowledge, the Franciscans assigned both Perpetrators to work with adolescent boys.”  Following are more excerpts from lawsuits filed last fall in Santa Barbara Superior Court regarding criminal pedophile priest activity at the Seminary:)

Gus Krumm, pedophihle Franciscan priest, 1970s

As to Fr. Gus Krumm, long before the Franciscans assigned him to St. Anthony’s Seminary in Santa Barbara, he and another notorious Franciscan perpetrator, Fr. Philip Wolfe, contracted the sexually transmitted disease known as “crabs” while doing field work as novices (training to become Franciscans). The source of the crabs were adolescent boys Wolfe and Krumm encountered who, according to Krumm, were willing to do anything for money.

According to Krumm, Wolfe contracted not only crabs but other sexually transmitted diseases from these adolescent boys, prompting Wolfe’s and Krumm’s novice master (also a Franciscan) to lecture both men angrily and repeatedly with regards to the sexual promiscuity with these boys that resulted in Wolfe and Krumm contracting crabs.

Thus, long before the Franciscans hired Krumm and Wolfe and assigned them to work at St. Anthony’s, the Franciscans knew both Perpetrators had been sexually involved with adolescent boys. Despite this knowledge the Franciscans assigned both Perpetrators to work with adolescent boys, including Craig, doing nothing to stop the contact or to warn Craig.

“Undescended Testacles!?”

Finally, with regards to physical examinations of students, during either the 1964-65 or 1965-66 school year, the Franciscans not only authorized such examinations but authorized them by Father Mario Cimmarrusti –a man with no medical training who was one of the most prolific Franciscan perpetrators in the history of this scandal. Cimmarrusti had expressed “concern” during a faculty meeting that some students appeared not to be developing normally, and had undescended testicles. ‘

No Franciscan questioned how Cimmarrusti gained such knowledge. Cimmarrusti then told the faculty, including Fr. Harris, that other signs a student was not developing normally included undeveloped sexual organs, lack of pubic hair, softness or femininity, or no changes to a student’s voice. He then proposed a program to the faculty wherein he would perform an initial assessment of freshmen students to determine if they were exhibiting any of these so called signs.

Despite the fact Cimmarrusti had no medical training, the fact the rector (who had worked at other high schools prior to St. Anthony’s) had never heard of such a program, and the fact St. Anthony’s applicants were required to submit proof of a complete physical exam by an actual physician, the St. Anthony’s Franciscan faculty, including rector Father Xavier Harris, approved this program.

How Was Father Mario Going To Perform This Assessment?

Even worse, they approved the program without any understanding as to how Cimmarrusti would perform these so-called “assessments.” The Franciscans’ uninformed consent in this regard was especially egregious given that the initial assessment proposed by Cimmarrusti included factors which by necessity required assessing each student’s testicles and pubic hair.

Thus, Cimmarrusti’s Franciscan-sanctioned sexual assaults of new seminarians commenced, and by at least 1966 the Franciscans began receiving reports that Cimmarrusti was sexually abusing students during these supposed examinations. A number of future Franciscan perpetrators – including Van Handel, Johnson and Krumm – were St. Anthony’s students while Cimmarrusti was committing his Franciscan-sanctioned assaults. At least one of them – Van Handel – continued Cimmarrusti’s tradition and was present at the start of a similar assault against Craig fifteen years after the Franciscans first approved Cimmarrusti’s supposed program.

While mainstream media focus on the Vatican gay comment last week, a UN Jurist has been saying since April 10th that an International Criminal Court investigation is the only way to resolve the Vatican sex crime crisis.   I doubt it’s an accident that the comment from the Vatican blaming gay priests for the epidemic of pedophiles in the Catholic Church came just as world attention was focusing on decades of sex crime coverups, after the four years I’ve observed Church manipulation of news and justice on this issue.  Now the story dominating the media is that inane quote blaming gays that even the Vatican denies now. 

More newsworthy is the call for a United Nations World Criminal Court investigation of the Pope that got drowned out in the media by the outcry over the Vatican claiming the pedophile problem has something to do with gay priests.

The Vatican has to be the source of these coverups.

How else would every city in the world have the same patterns or criminal Modus Operandi, as the crimes were carried out in each diocese?  Geoffrey Robinson, British UN Jurist, calls for an international criminal investigation of the Pope and the highest level of church hierarchy because their crimes resulted in at least a hundred of thousand adult victims of pedophile priests alive in the world today.  Figure, six thousand priests found so far in the United States, times ten victims average for each perpetrator, there are sixty thousand adult victims right now in the United States alone.

This was a holocaust against children.

“”The young age of the petitioner” refers to Kiesle, then aged 38, not the age of any of the boys he tied up and raped (11 and 13). And now the tumour has turned up just where you might have expected — moving from the bosom to the very head of the church. And by what power or right is the fugitive cardinal shielded? Only by the original agreement between Benito Mussolini and the papacy that created the pseudo-state of Vatican City in the Lateran Treaty of 1929. Every morning there was a period of deep quiet, after the helicopters stopped and before morning deliveries began.  Then I’d hear runners in Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety vans pull up near us, double park, then footsteps ran up to front porches around us.  Lizzie and I would stay hunched down low, but I imagine after several nights, the neighborhood had seen us sleeping out there in our parked car.  But no one said a word.  You become invisible when you are homeless.

It’s a mutual invisibility. They pretend not to see you and you pretend not to see them.

This particular morning I started the car and the heater, we stretched, pulled onto the street, and headed to the Welfare office, kinda grateful you don’t sleep late when you’re living on the street.  It was good we beat the traffic, good the ride was mostly downhill, from Franklin near Highland down to McArthur Park “human services” office, as the car was literally running on fumes.

Paying for motel rooms over three months, we’d gone through our move-in money, run up every credit card I had, and finally even maxed out the gas card.

In those two months we’d gone to probably every homeless program on the west side of Los Angeles, sat in waiting rooms, sat through lectures, attended mandatory classes in things like, How To Do A Job Interview.  My daughter and I still had no address but a 1995 Ford Taurus.  At night we liked to park in the Hollywood Hills, where it felt safer than down on the boulevards where the homeless people who don’t have cars walk and walk through the night.

If we ran out of gas, we’d end up on the boulevards.  The only thing keeping us from slipping totally through the cracks by February 2004 was that Ford Taurus and once it was out of gas, it was no longer an asset. 

Tip For Living In Your Car: Park pointing uphill, or you will fight gravity all night, falling onto the steering wheel trying to sleep.

That morning we had an appointment at the welfare office to apply for the L.A. County homeless program.  I found in my notes, “I feel like we are covered in dirt.  We probably are covered in dirt.”

I had taken to relying on air showers to wash up.

You stand in a breeze, hold up your arms, and the air cleans your skin as it blows through the fabric, a crocheted top is best for air showering more places, a very … efficient way to wash without water.  Afterwards you crawl into your car and go to sleep.

I also learned when using public showers a technique for washing  my clothes at the same time i wash myself, a practice i still carry out to this day.  You’d be surprised the tips a few years of homelessness will add to your normal life, if you ever make it back to normal life.

Bomb Scare in the Welfare Office

There was a long line just inside the entrance at the L.A. welfare office. My 15 year old daughter Lizzie let a man with a baby get in front of us.

Then there was a bomb scare and everyone had to evacuate the building.  It was February 2004, and the initial paranoia from Nine Eleven still permeated public buildings.  Everyone in the welfare office, caseworkers and clients, had to go across the street to a parking lot.

We got to know a mom who was there with her two toddler aged kids.  They had walked seventeen blocks from the shelter where they were staying to the welfare office.

With all of us in the parking lot from the bomb scare, the caseworkers had to continue business outside, or the line of people would just keep growing and growing.  So the caseworkers leaned over and had people sign documents on their backs so they could go on their way back onto the streets of Los Angeles, still homeless.

The lady who walked 17 blocks with two kids would have to come back because they didn’t have an appointment.  There in the parking lot the welfare workers made an appointment for them, and they left to walk the streets of L.A., meandering around until 6PM or so when they could get back into the shelter, and plan to come back for homeless assistance from the county another day.

 That day since we had an appointment, we got onto the official county of Los Angeles County program for homeless families right there in the parking lot.

Here is how it worked back then in 2004.

If you can prove you are genuinely looking for a home, the county gives you enough money for a hotel room for two weeks.

Only you can’t and they don’t and it’s not.

They give you vouchers that should last two weeks in a hotel, but they don’t, and that’s so the county can help you move into  an apartment, but only if you can find one for $454.00 a month.  Even the caseworker said, “You won’t find a place for $450 a month,” so the whole program was basically a charade.  My caseworker had a Central European accent.  I wondered if he was a direct descendent of Franz Kafka. 

You went through the motions, pretended look for housing, when really all you were getting was a hotel room for two weeks that would actually just be six or seven nights, but one does not turn down any help once one gets desperate.  So each day I would leave our motel and do the charade of looking for anything we could possibly rent for $454 a month in 2004 in L.A., a room behind a shoe repair shop with no bath, anything, but even an SRO downtown cost more than that.  

It was a charade, a program that existed on paper, but no one even expected it to work.

The first night we were in the L.A. County homeless program, the hotel I found that would take our voucher and was in a neighborhood I knew, was on Sunset Boulevard near La Brea, called the Studio Inn, if I remember right.  It was near Hollywood High School, run by two Pakistani men who I begged to let us stay at the weekly rate, explaining we were in this County program and they nodded like they’d heard it before, and gave us the better rate.  We finally got out of the car and into a room.

Few minutes later when I opened the door to go get ice, the two hotel guys were waiting outside our door, panting, like now it was time for us to do them a favor.

Since we turned them down, they said they could not let us have the room at that rate anymore.  “This is Hollywood Studio Inn on Sunset Boulevard,” they explained, “on weekends rooms rent for as high as 90 to 200 dollars a night.

“This is one big party, Sunset Boulevard on the weekends,” the hotelier said as he placed our Welfare vouchers among a stack in his cash drawer.

Most homeless teenagers aren’t still living with their parents.
So shelters aren’t equipped for a mom with a kid over age 12. That’s why it took us so long to get help,

I told the welfare worker next visit that the hotel owners were trying to get us to prostitute ourselves for the difference between a weekly and daily rate, and he broke down and gave me enough vouchers for the rest of our two weeks to actually use them and live in a hotel for two weeks.  So we spent those nights in luxury at the Hollywood Seven Star Inn, then moved back onto the street south of Franklin near Highland, waking up to the delivery of Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety to the residents around us.

A few weeks later, around the time the car was about to die on the street, we got into a temporary shelter, a Christian run place.  They were donation run only, didn’t take government grants, so they could bend the rules and let my 15 year old daughter and me stay there together.  Every other program in L.A. insisted we’d have to separate, her go to a teen home, me to a women’s place, as that’s the way most grants are written.  We just couldn’t separate at that time in our lives.

The private Christian shelter didn’t have rigid structural guidelines like government projects, so when we found Hope Again Mission at 5161 Sunset Boulevard, my daughter and I finally got into a shelter, then 11 months later into a transitional shelter, and now we live in a neighborhood right around the corner from Hope Again, a part of town that up to November 2003, I would never even drive through.

 It’s East Hollywood, and today it’s home.

Post Note: In notes I found recently from this period, which sparked this series, I wrote this about our nights at the Studio Inn on Sunset Boulevard: “I’m so grateful that men asking my daughter to appear in a sex video for hard cash scare her, rather than tempts her.  I must have done something right.”

Post Note 2: I remember the day a few week earlier, when I pulled into the parking lot at PATH, People Helping the Homeless, a well-known homeless agency near downtown in our 1995 Ford Taurus.  The people waiting outside gave an audible group sigh when we pulled up in that hunk of dented metal, because to them a car means security, a movable shelter, we had more of a home than they did.  That car was our last platform keeping us from the final bottom, landing on the street, sleeping in a cardboard box, or on a bus bench.

We don’t have a car anymore.

I’m an independent contractor and have to set up my own equipment in my home to work, so while we were homeless, instead of working freelance, i had to take a staff job.

 I Was Homeless Working On The Dr. Phil Show

I was working on the Dr. Phil Show, on the Paramount Studios lot, when my daughter and I were homeless and living out of our car in Spring 2004,  and then later while we lived in the first of two homeless shelters.  Even working fulltime there in the basement of the Dr. Phil Show building on the lot, doing a job that is critical for production of the show, the pay wasn’t high enough to get us back into even a small studio apartment.

If the Pope really wants to reach out to the Vatican’s adult sex crime victims, he could start by revamping the spa-like rehab centers the Church has around the country for pedophile priests, to make them available as recovery centers for the victims of the priests’ crimes instead.   That’s one example. 

In Santa Cruz, the Salesian Religious Order has a former campgrounds on twenty acres of beachfront property, where no thinking parent would dare send a child anymore, all that land with little cabins, in all that beautiful terrain, currently housing registered sex offender felony priests from that Order.  Why not donate land like that to survivors, and let us run recovery centers? 

Pope Blows Own Horn

It’s not hard to come up with two or three things off the top of your head that the Vatican could do in response to the pedophile priest epidemic, now that the Whole World knows there are hundreds and thousands of adult victims walking around with the residue of growing up with the experience of these crimes.  If the Vatican really wanted to help victims, they’d have a thriving support network running right now for all the victims in America, and all of us would be doing a lot better than we currently are. 

It’s hard to get excited when the Vatican blows its horn, releasing yet another sound byte response to the world news media, another vacuous statement that then gets replayed and repeated in every news outlet in the world and hardly a reporter asks a question to dig a little deeper.

I’ve been doing City of Angels Blog for 3.5 years about these crimes, and I’m easy to find as are hundreds of victims who have gone public about their cases.  Google the name of almost any of the L.A. perpetrator priests, and City of Angels blog will come up, my email address is right there in the top left column. 

 If the Pope really wanted to meet with Victims, we are easy to find.

Yet no one from the Vatican has showed up at my door, like I just won the Publisher’s Clearing House, with a giant check that will change my life.  I’ve read a lot of the lawsuit documents from cases against the Church for sex abuse by its priests from the last two decades, and the mutual unemployability of survivors of these crimes is one reason those settlement checks these days are so large.

If the Pope really wanted to reach out to survivors, he would set up a fund to help us, instead of the situation we have today, where the only way to get any response from the Catholic Church as a survivor of these crimes is to hire a lawyer and sue them. 

The victims did not create this perpetual litigation situation, the Church did. 

The Pope could just offer us help instead of telling us through Archdiocese Victim Assistance Directors to “get a lawyer.”

In fact, there are hundreds of current cases that the Church is still fighting all over the country, where new victims have come forward last few years.  The Pope could just release those cases with generosity and pastoral care and all the help that you’d expect a Christian Church to provide, but this one never has. 

The crime victims were met with nothing but animosity by the Church

Almost every one of us. 

As Bernie McDaid said in the interview we ran here Monday, a lot of victims who came forward decades ago are still in trouble, some homeless, living in shelters, drinking and drugging themselves to death.   Sure, a fraction of the Church’s crime victims got settlements, but some were very small settlements, especially in the 1980s and 1990s.  The men from Boston, who pioneered global lawsuits that followed in other cities around the country, got settlements as low as $20-50 thousand.  Hardly makes up for crimes that destroyed your life.

Maybe a recovery center or two around the country. 

It’s obvious, right in front of the Pope and his colleagues’ plump faces, plenty of things the Vatican could do to help.  When will news media realize those sound bytes, those little quotes they all run and run and run and run, with different creative uses of internet images that are available to everyone, is not news reporting? 

There are hundreds of thousands of stories here to write about the survivors of priest sex crimes – and the crimes-  and almost every news writer, the most they can think of to do for a story on these crimes is to call SNAP, a nonprofit corporation that specializes in providing sound bytes and quotes, and get a sound byte and quote.

A lot of vacuous words end up filling the columns between ads on websites

The story is not getting told.

NEWS REPORTERS are disappointing all crime victims in America, not just adult victims of pedophile priests, with the surface level, one headline one sentence reporting on these crimes.  The criminals love it that no one is really writing about what they’re doing. 

If the Vatican wants to help survivors, they could fund my investigative journalism into their crimes, so the truth would come out, starting with release of all the personnel files from the Los Angeles settlements in 2007, when document release was supposedly was promised to the 510 Los Angeles plaintiffs as part of the settlement. 

It’s something we’d all like to see but:

Considering six thousand priests have been identified in the U.S. so far as pedophiles (source BishopAccountability), and experts report most pedophiles have at least ten victims, there are at least sixty thousand adult victims of pedophile priests in the USA today and more adult victims coming forward every day in Europe. 

How many survivors will it take to fill St. Peter’s Square the last Sunday in October this year?

Longtime activists, Bernie McDaid and Olan Horne were in the group of three victims who met with the Pope during his April 2008 visit to the US, and now they are organizing this Vatican October 31, 2010, Reformation Day, project.  Horne and McDaid hope the event will evoke the substantive response they both  expected from the Vatican, after their much ballhyooed publicly related 2008 private five-minute meetings with Pope Benedict. The time is ripe to take further steps, McDaid says.

“Until two months ago, the average person would not have thought the pedophile priest problem goes all the way to the Pope,” McDaid said in an interview last week by phone from Massachusetts.  “Now they know, and even the most devout Catholic is beginning to ask questons.” 

He hopes 50,000 survivors will come to the Vatican 10/31/10, but considering the economy and travel costs, McDaid and Horne hope the project will have coinciding events in the USA.   He envisions a powerful image.

“Our numbers will speak words.  At the Vatican we’re going to wear all white, white shirts, white pants.”

Victims Still Need Healing and Empowerment

“Some people are saying do it simultaneously,” McDaid said.  “Have the churches open up on Sunday Halloween October 31st.  As a day of reformation for victims who have not been heard, we’re going to the Vatican with the real issue now, we are victims, we need healing, empowerment, we’re taking the statement of this day on our own.

Horne and McDaid also started the first support group for victims of Joseph Birmingham in the early days of the Boston scandal.  Now they both are alarmed that two years after the meeting with the Pope during his 2008 U.S. visit, nothing substantive has resulted. 

Victims Are Doing Worse Than They Ever Did Before

“All the other men in Boston that stood up publicly are now doing worse than they ever did before.  No one is reaching out to them.  Some are homeless living in YMCAs, drinking themselves to death.” 

So McDaid says, October 31, 2010, survivors “offer this opportunity to the Church:  Open up your doors and say you’re sorry.

“There are men from the original group that came forward in Boston, none of them are getting the help that they need.”

(ME:  And About a hundred thousand more out here in the hinterlands calling out)

“We are not protesting or marching on that day,” McDaid says. “I’m calling on priests, people, anybody who has anything to say about the issue to come forward on that day.”

People Inside the Church Have Not Been Heard Either

He hopes to see an “outpouring of people going to the church,” said McDaid, “the people who love and still are in the Church, they have not been heard either.  Because the hierarchy keep blocking them.   So this is their day, our day, and we’re asking all priests to join with us.

McDaid envisions the image that will go out in global news:

“Our numbers will speak words.  At the Vatican we’re going to wear all white, white shirts, white pants.”

(McDaid told me about the time he went to the Vatican on his own in 2003, in his own words:)

The guards threw me out, well, escorted me out.  So I snuck back in through a back room. I was on my way to try to meet one of the head bishops.  No one would meet with us, I think because once they talked tous, they’d have to say something about us, and they were trying to avoid the issue, avoid going on the record.

I went through these bronze doors, told them we had a meeting.  Got as far as Brother John, the gatekeeper, he has an office on the second floor.  He told me he himself has only once in seven years been up to the third floor to meet his own executives.

People Were Threatening Suicide with the Story Just Breaking

We asked Brother John to let us in to meet Cardinal Law and the Pope about Boston. People were threatening suicide with the story just breaking. 

I wrote a book on this, I’m looking for a publisher.

Before we left Boston, all these Catholics gave me beads and things to wish me luck.  That night, I’m in my hotel room, there had been news cameras following us all day.  I said, oh my god I’m scared. I pulled out those beads out of my pocket, I took them and I prayed. Ii prayed out of fear. 

Then next morning I got the idea to get in touch with a friend back in Massachusetts, a judge, and he made a phone call, and he got a meeting with the Vatican.

People’s intentions in Boston were for me to get in and next morning the Vatican came to my hotel. 

The Secretary of State, the Nuncio,  an Archbishop from Philadelphia, who at the time was like the Secretary of the State, whatever he is called, an Italian word. 

He came to my hotel with another priest.  They were both nervous. He said, we’ve never had orders come from as high as this and I laughed, I mean i just called my friend and he called the Pope.  They were looking at me like how did this guy orchestrate this.

 I said want a cup of tea, let’s talk.

In Chicago:  “The event was very prayerful,” said Rick Springer, an adult victim of pedophile priest and advocate for victims.  “A number of passersby or worshipers from the cathedral actually joined us in saying it.  I handed several of them a copy of our prayer and a couple stayed to say it once with us, they did not immediately run off, at least.

No one was gossping or plotting to tear down the church as the Vatican accuses.

At the event in L.A. the focus was on activism, not prayer:

Local L.A. SNAP activist Jim Robertson had relatives visiting from Ireland. His cousin Tina was on camera, saying with feeling in an Irish brogue:

“Today is Good Friday a very important day in the Catholic Church, it’s the day we remember Christ’s suffering and his death. And what hurts me most is that we should be here today talking about all the suffering that goes on at the hands of the church today.”

In L.A., as reporters peered around looking for 5-second sound bytes, I realized reporters who turn up for a media event like this are only interested in sound bytes. What am I even doing here, I thought, as I was standing in the middle of it.  “I’m contributing to the growing vacuousness in news reporting today that I truly abhor.”

My God, I’m turning into the Holly Hunter character from Broadcast News, I think I even used one of her exact lines just then.

When the sun shines just right through carefully crafted trimmings around St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican Square, these phallic images appear, my God, they’re even circumcised.

Just what every developing sex crime committing Catholic Priest needs to see as a subliminal message when he visits the Pope.  Does this reveal perversion at such a deep level, all throughout the Church, that little subtle porn images like this just sort of accidentally slip into Catholic drawings, designs, and architecture?  

Move the Vatican to Thailand.

(6000 pedophiles operate out of a corporation whose product, pastoral care, gives the criminals, “priests,” unusually easy access to children in every city in the country.   As a result about a hundred thousand kids get raped.  If that happened in any group, a Federal investigation would result.  unless the guilty corporate entity is the Roman Catholic Church. )

If anyone can do this story right it’s Michael Moore.  Every other media outlet out there caves sooner or later to pressure from the Roman Catholic Church, whose archdioceses run as powerful corporations sole in every city.  So the true story of sex crimes committed by priests and bishops, followed by covering up the crimes all the way to the Pope, has never completely been told. Even with the surge of  stories over Easter Week, if you look close, about 95 percent of the time each article is just copy and pasted from another article.  There is very little financed investigative journalism going on about the pedophile priests in the Catholic Church.   

Everyone please to go to Michael Moore’s website to the submit a story form at SUBMIT STORY TO MICHAEL MOORE and get the idea to him, because one person filling out the form can get lost in thousands of clicks they get each day.  If they are hit with a storm of submissions about the pedophile Catholic priests, Moore and his colleagues are much more likely to notice.

Ask them to do an investigation and report the story, how 6000 Catholic Priests could have preyed as pedohpiles in parishes all over the world and raped at least a hundred thousand children, yet the bishops, who supervise and pastor to the pedophiles, all claim they never knew any sex crimes against children were going on.

Catholic bishops could not have prayed for a better news environment for the release to the world of facts of their crimes.  Cutbacks in mainstream news departments play right into the coverup of crimes by any corporation.  The true extent of Catholic priest sex crimes and their coverup- all the way to the Pope and the Vatican- has never been told.  As a result, about a hundred thousand crime victims now live in a state of Justice Interruptus watching their perpetrators, felons, continue to live influential and very comfortable lives.

Where is the Federal investigation of Catholic Church Pedophile Crimes? 

If it won’t happen through Law Enforcement, we’ve got to take this issue to the movies.

Everyone please to go to Michael Moore’s website:  SUBMIT STORY TO MICHAEL MOORE and get the idea to Michael Moore, to  investigate with a film crew, how 6000 Catholic Priests could have been pedophiles in American parishes and the bishops claim they did not know any child sex crimes were taking place.

If anyone can get out the whole story it is Michael Moore.   He could ask:

Why doesn’t the FBI storm Catholic Archdiocese offices in every city and seize their records?  No other organization would be able to get away with this many serial felonies without an investigation.
